Our winery combines traditional methods of classical production with the latest technological innovations such as conical tanks and temperature control, monovarietal elaborations, conical tanks, an underground barrel room with more than 600 barrels and Wines in more than 30 countries.

THE LAND AND THE WINE

Earth, climate and people come together in a unique environment.

Hacienda Albae is located on Aquifer 23, one of the largest in Spain, which allows us to enjoy unique soils in a place with an ideal climate for growing grapes. The soil is of a loamy-sandy character with a significant concentration of limestone and several transverse veins of clay. Continuous care of the vineyard is carried out with numerous tasks such as green pruning, directed vegetation, production control … These works, together with an exhaustive control of the water stress of the plants, allows us to achieve the perfect state of ripeness of the grapes. In our vineyards we produce grapes of 7 different varieties: White: Viognier and Chardonnay; Reds: Merlot, Syrah, Tempranillo, Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon.

THE FARM

ALL THE PROCESS IN ONE PLACE

The winery is located on the estate itself, next to the vineyard. Hacienda Albae is a comprehensive project in which vineyards, wineries and wine tourism must go hand in hand. This “Domaine effect” allows us to continuously and directly control and regulate the operation of the winery and the vineyard as parts of the same idea. Furthermore, it reduces the time between harvest and vatting to a minimum, which guarantees the presence in the grape cellar in excellent condition.

All our wines are made and bottled in a monovarietal way.

This allows us to give each variety an individualized treatment both in the vineyard, in its production and during its aging. In this way, we enhance the varietal character of these wines and we can express our terroir in all of them, producing wines with a clear and unmistakable personality.
