Hacienda Albae is located on the 23rd aquifer, one of the largest underground water surfaces in Spain, which allows it to enjoy unique soils in a place with an ideal climate for vine growing. The soil is sandy loam with a high concentration of limestone and several transversal clay veins. The vineyard is continuously cared for with numerous tasks such as green pruning, vegetation orientation and production control.
This work, together with an exhaustive control of the water stress of the plants, allows the grapes to reach an optimum state of ripeness. The vineyard produces 7 different varieties of grapes, so the work is individualised by plot, adapting it to the different characteristics of each variety.
The winery is located inside the estate itself, forming part of the vineyards. Hacienda Albae is an integral project in which vineyard, winery and wine tourism must go hand in hand. This ‘Domaine effect’ allows us to continuously and directly control and regulate the functioning of the winery and the vineyard as part of the same idea. It also reduces the time between harvesting and vatting to a minimum, which guarantees the presence in the winery of grapes in an unbeatable state THE ESTATE.

All the wines are made and bottled as single-varietal wines, 100% single variety. This allows each variety to be given personalised treatment in the vineyard, in the winemaking process and during ageing. In this way, the varietal character of the wines is enhanced and the terroir can be clearly expressed in them, producing wines with a clear and unmistakable personality.

After more than 20 harvests in different wine regions, I am in charge of the technical management of the winery and everything related to winemaking. On the other hand, I coordinate the winery’s commercial strategy, focused especially on the foreign market, collaborating with different partners worldwide.

After my studies in Agricultural Engineering, I specialized in Oenology and Viticulture at the UPM. I have worked in several wineries in different wine-growing regions and in Chile, where I learned about another vision of oenology. Currently, as head of oenology at Hacienda Albae, I develop and control the production and aging of wines, as well as their bottling and packaging. I also carry out all the quality control tasks and monitor the different certifications we have, from ISO 9001 and organic and vegan wines to our sustainability and Km0 certifications.

After studying Social Work at the Complutense University of Madrid, I specialized in accounting management. And I continue with a continuous specialization in special taxes and customs products, absolutely necessary for our export vocation. I am responsible for the financial and accounting part of Hacienda Albae, as well as numerous administrative tasks.

Dedicated to administrative management in general and in several wineries in particular, despite having studied Hispanic Philology. Passionate about literature, but also about wine and the entire process of its creation. A great lover of order, which is very useful when carrying out all my administrative tasks so that nothing gets past me.

During my dual studies in Viticulture, I did an internship at Hacienda Albae. The following harvest I started working as a winemaker and I have been there for 5 years now. Currently, I work in wine production, carrying out all the tasks associated with it such as receiving grapes, grape controls, fermentation control, wine refining, aging, bottling, order preparation… On the other hand, I am the person who conducts visits to the winery as part of our wine tourism experiences, as well as wine tasting and sampling. Don’t miss it!
